Just saw the picture of the Samoan Squad outside a kebab house in Doncaster… that it an impressive group of people …

Really looking forward to seeing how this team gels… almost all the squad were significant contributors to teams who played in the NRL playoffs.. including 9 from the grand final teams…

Home advantage counts for a lot though… should be a sensational opening to the competition… I guess I’ll have a few late nights ahead of me

Kiwis, not Leeds players

The power of those kiwis and the skill levels was frightening to a man , even leuluai , albeit against a scratch leeds squad , but also to a man they are on silly money over there so I can’t see any of that particular squad donning a super league shirt anytime soon . But there are plenty of other quality teams/players on show that may be tempted . Although I moaned at the entrance fee which if leeds had put a robust squad out wouldn’t have been an issue , I’m chuffed I got up close to arguably one of the top two Rl teams in the world , and for that I’m a happy chappy .After the game Brandon Smith ( the cheese) jumped over into the crowd , and was ages signing autographs and getting pics with all the youngsters and adults alike , my two were made up . That’s what it’s all about for me this Rl , machines on the pitch but humble and respectful off it and more than happy to engage with fans .
