Just a slight correction on the pricing though...I think you'll find that £300 is just for the room hire for 2 hours for up to 20 kids, 2 player guest appearances, a signed ball, a birthday card, and a Daddy Cool appearance. Food from £5 per head, a cake and the stadium tour are all extra !!

Yeah I did spot that. Seems expensive to be honest. Parties we've been to have included games on the pitch, not sure if that's in the price.

No it’s not expensive imo. It’s what you pay when the facilities go from your average British Legion to state of the art.
As Trinity fans we’ve had a relatively cheap time of it, and rightly so because what was on offer was third rate, we just pretended it wasn’t.
That function facility will be in huge demand, assuming that’s where the parties are to be held. Since Painthorpe shut Wakefield has totally lacked a venue and even Painthorpe was in the sticks and past it’s best.
You want a kids party at a top venue, that’s what it costs. I probably wouldn’t pay that for a kids birthday party but plenty will. Certainly if the team are doing well.
Xmas parties, company presentations, charity dinners, you name it, we will be the go to venue. But we won’t be cheap, why should we?
It’s supply and demand and we are the only venue in Wakefield that can cater for 200 or so that is family friendly, with secure free parking and just outside the city centre, and easy access for all. it’s a godsend.
I don’t think the club will gouge fans, but with a team to build and a stadium to finish they won’t give it away either. If we want to compete it’s going to cost someone
If you want a young kids party for 10 kids then you probably go to a Wakey Warehouse or something.
If you are doing a party where you need a function room then £300 is quite cheap. You'll pay a lot more for a function room in Wakefield/Leeds with a bar and stuff.

That’s how I’d do it if I ran the club,
You've obviously not been to a kids party recently. Nobody pays £300 for a room without food.

£300 for a room without food for a kids party isn't cheap.
Throw in food, it's £400. Assuming the stadium tour is £3 each, and a cake on top of that, you're talking nearly £500 for 20 kids.

Yes they do. Go on and check out what Leeds charge or better still Leeds United.
We couldn’t justify it before we can now.
You want to compete with Leeds? Pay there prices, it’s that simple.
Trinity fans need to get it out of their heads that we are some kind of charity, we are not, we are a business.
Also what have kids got to do with it? Are they paying out of their own pocket money? No, it’s a parents choice, so why do you think you are owed a discount by the club but you wouldn’t expect one elsewhere.
I wouldn’t pay that much, but the options there for those who would. Nobody is forcing you.
I’ll say it again, you moan that we have a converted winger at hooker, you want the real deal as you see it, this is where the money will come from.
I think far to many Trinity fans want ambition without sacrifice - life doesn’t work like that.

I don't really want to argue any more about kids parties. I think they're pricing a lot of families out of it, you think it's reasonable. I hope you're right and I'm wrong.
