The only thing the club needs to concentrate on is staying in Super League because failure to do so would be a disaster despite what some might hope. When the new IMG ratings come into effect being out of SL would mean that we will lose a major benefit because we may have a partly developed ground but I am sure the current SL clubs will be favoured whatever they may say.
The only way to give us the best chance is to have the best available squad. We can be prudent with our finances which is laudable but sometimes you need to loosen the purse strings because the club need to weigh the loss of income from being relegated. I believe that relegation will also make all contracts void so the 25 years we have survived in SL will be wasted and our chances of getting a license will go with it.
With regards Murphy we need to look at the big picture he is young and like TJ an indication of our determination to progress. I wonder what happened to the “why should I leave Trinity” when TJ was asked if his ambitions would be better fulfilled at another club.
