If anyone has any doubt about how damaging relegation will be. ( unless you have a rick backer like Derek Beaumont) Try looking for a preview of this weekends Summer Bash. The big weekend for the championship. There is nothing in any of the daily newspapers. Nothing on the BBC sport rugby league pages and you have to scroll right down to the bottom of the Love Rugby League web site to see an article about the special shirts to be worn. How will we ever ger a major sponsor with that sort of lack of exposure to the general public.

I don't see anything relating to SL neither the whole sport is in a rut.

His first team CV doesn’t look great… however let’s not forget he was instrumental in setting up the elite academy licence… he has a knack for bringing young players on… never before have we had so many players coming through from junior level..

If we end up under new management they’re likely to get someone else in … but I would be of a mind to think about his previous position and wether he would be prepared to take up that role again…

This is exactly my thoughts. Even if a new owner doesn’t come in I suspect this will still happen and he will go back to a assistant.

The problem we have currently is the timing of the takeover, if it happens. As MC said, he is in the awkward position of continuing the business as usual until that happens but what he isnt going to do is sack the coach and bring in one that the new owner is not happy with. So until this deal goes through, or doesnt, I dont see a change happening.

His problem is the coach took the king’s shilling (CEO) and despite what we all could see he is slowly killing any hope of being a SL coach in the future. The incumbents don’t really care because they are negotiating their own exits and I am sure the coach will not be in their considerations. He has served his purpose by taking on the job and accept the squad available which I doubt many other coach would have gone along with.
The bottom line will be he either walks or waits until a possible new investor takes over and hope they retain him in some coaching capacity but I doubt it will be the first team.

your judging him on his first team performances.Im not talking about him continuing in a first team role… buying and selling players, coaching .I’m talking about him doing his previous role, bringing the young players through..a role he was more comfortable with.

If you’re judging on 1st team performances, the defence against Catalans was an absolute disgrace. Absolute embarrassment we are.

We are one coach down,
The solutions simple Mash to asst and bring in a new man.
If mash doesn't want to play ball then sorry but bye.
Mash must understand that his opportunities are very limited with his record at the moment and are dwindling with every game he's in charge.
Needs to be done now.
