This is an interesting position… needs someone with both financial/ negotiating smarts and expertise in the game and people management…

No obvious names spring to mind

As a bare minimum our new recruits should be fit for purpose before any deals are put on the table ,and a fitness assessment would help weeding these players out ,that end up being millstones around our neck . You’d have thought that if this had taken place with the likes of Proctor and others we would have dodged some very expensive bullets . Although that recruitment exercise doesn’t extend to players who pass that particular test but have no heart and desire to play for us . It really is a minefield getting the right bodies at the right price to perform to an acceptable level on a consistent basis ,because as we’ve seen only too well and to our detriment ,it only takes a couple of duds amongst your big earner and the whole pack of cards tumble . Looking forwards to seeing who gets the job if not already working away behind the scenes.

If he can work with Powell I’d throw the chequebook at Andy Kelly and get him to come home to where it all started! Get him to help rebuild the team and club he got promoted alongside the bloke he inspired to become a Trinity fan and now owner.

There’s no one more respected in the game, as a player, a coach a youth proponent and as a manager.
He’d bring instant respect to the club

Yes he’s been away far too long and would be an ideal candidate you’d think for this role as there won’t be many around with his years of expertise in our game

I agree on Andy Kelly. Great choice.
