Type of game we need to practice holding onto the ball, result not in doubt, let's compete sets and get into the habit. Guilty of over playing again.
Attack has looked pretty fluid considering. Smith providing plenty of spark at 9. Vagana making yards.
Exactly what we didn’t do. Strange one today.
We turned over a lot of ball today and repeatedly didn’t finish sets. Barrow were unable to punish us but the playoff teams would be more likely to.
I feel we were experimenting and chancing our arm today rather than looking for consistency in high set completion and structure. Seemed to be the opposite of what Powell said last week.
We didn’t feel the danger of the poor handling or penalties on our line due to a combination of strong D and toothless opposition but if we serve up as many errors last week I’m not sure it will be the best prep.
Despite that it was a good score line and there were good try’s scored.
I like Harvey Smith at 9. He won’t be far off ready after another pre season. Be happy to see him play next year but maybe early season a championship loan to somewhere like York could really bring in his game.
Pratt was class, Rodwell was a force. Uele finding his feet again and played very strong in the middle.
Happy with that overall.
Jowitt is going to cut that world record pretty close!
