Wwildcat48 - not being funny mate but that's your first post and you expect us to take that as fact

Fwiw my opinion is we should the trust the people who's job it is to build the team to to do there job, far too early to see the big picture, with a new coach bound to be changes. Judge the team in Jan/Feb not now, far too early

People question Smurph loyalty but yet stayed with us when he could have and shouldve gone to shudds then. So now we are on the up everything going in right direction then chooses to jump ship. Come off it do you people have tinted glasses on??? Murph may not be like Ellis a world beater but when will we draw the line in the sand like Al says Walshaw will be next. Smurph the best academy product in the first team when i spoke to him he honestly said if Wakey move forward as a club he will stay with us as he made the point he could have gone and hes a wakey lad. Smurph stuck it out and got battered every week last season. We have not got the better deal folks as we are still a selling club. Kirmond you seem to think will be first name on the team sheet ... Are you people for real seriously and Raleigh is a average injury prone prop

ALONG WITH AL WHEN SHALL WE DRAW THE LINE IN THE SAND WITH THE CROWS HUDDERSFIELD CROWS NOT GIANTS TOTALLY THE WRONG MESSAGE I MAY ASWELL CANCEL MY 1873 MEMBERSHIP

OK you are at it again, Smurph stayed this season becuase Hudds offered him a deal but would not have got their side this season, he accepetd the deal in the belief that Wakey would not get a franchise, hey presto we do

As I keep reminding you please go 8 miles  I am sure Cas would would welcome you invaluable input and magnificent support of your team

Most seem happy with the total deal done with shuds, but taking the Murphy deal seperate let me ask a couple of questions.

Are we happy we have brought in 2 overseas centres and sold our own local produced player?

The 1873 club was set up to produce AND retain top juniors, where does the schemes involment finish with these players?

Knowing a little about Murph, I don't believe he would have left without a little cohersion from certain partys.

Anyway the deal is done now, I just hope that the longer term benefits are to the club advantage.

Foot note
If we have chosen not to signed Tongia, I think the club have made a grave error, the guy had class written all over him with much, much more to come.

I dont give a rats booty what you think mate, let me give you the tip.....players and their friends and family read some of the poop that is posted on here by people who know absolutely nothing at all, and just waste their life making wild guesses and assumptions.
This was about transfer fee and being able to strengthen the squad which is understandable but not twisting the whole thing to suit and save face.

I am sure that there will be more comings and goings before the season as there will be with all Super League clubs and I am also sure that our squad will have a stronger look to it by the first game of the season than it currently does.

I'm sure you agree that respect is hard earned, and while everyone at the club IMO is doing a sterling job, that doesn't mean that every decision should be blindly followed.
What's best for the club, is what matters, not the individual and not necessarily what fans agree with.
I remember Keegan getting flagged off on the steps of St James park, when he sold Andy Cole, the rabble were quick to go quiet when he signed Alan Shearer.
Sometimes you have to be prepared to make a sacrifice to go forward, in the case of AM, a fee for team strengthening plus the addition of two decent squad players is a result as far as I can see.
Fans forget that to the people who have to balance the books and make the club progress have to view it with at least one eye on business, not both eyes on fanaticism.
Time will tell if this sacrifice has worked, all I can say with any confidence is, we are looking far healthier going into this forthcoming season than when we kicked off at MM, and for now that is progress, but the challenge for all at the club is to keep that progress year on year.

I would have liked to have kept him but players come and go. I can't remember there being this much aggro over Ellis and Solo who are/were twice the player that Murphy, although admirable in his own right, is
