Hope the game is Friday night or Saturday. The mighty Sharlston are in the National Cup Final at Blackpool on the Sunday and we'd ;ike to do both.

Its a simple one this - Wakefield are a SL team with SL funding playing at home against a Championship team on significantly less funding playing away. The bookies will give us (Leigh) a start and Wakey will be favourites.
Hope we play on the Sunday to maximise our following which will have a huge part to play if we are to overcome the odds.
The game is what the cup is all about, high riding lower league club playing struggling higher league club in a one off game. It will get great PR and lets hope we have a great game to match the hype
In the mean time there will be a mixture of delusion, banter and serious discussion from both sets

I agree Maurice
Should be a good contest.

Just ignore atomic and coley they was same on Salford board. I do however think we will beat you I'm not going too resort too the pointless bickering. We will both have players back fit which improve us. I just really do think with the self belief and underrated talent in this team we will win. A funny one is some fans saying it's a one off game we beat Salford in!! That's true but it's was possibly our worst game for a month in attack which is a one off and we will perform over at your end no doubt! And another thing we will bring a big following so sets this tie up nicely!

It is "Fifita" not "Fafita"

If you don't know the difference between "there", "their" and "they're" I might get annoyed.

I've been a registered user on these boards for years yet have never felt the need to do this before but I do now.

Could someone please advise how I can "ignore a poster" so I don't see their comments appear on a thread? Vast majority of posters are fine but one particular troll is taking up too much of my conversation feed. Do I just mark them as foe?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

This is a cracking cup tie. Got to fancy Wakey on home midden. A couple of things could go against WTW - the Challenge Cup could be a distraction to the meat and bones of SL survival and like the Salford game everyone (including Sky) will want the underdog to cause a cup upset. With a few returning players from injury though I cannot see an upset.

You're right we didn't play as good as we have been against Salford but did we under perform or did Salford prevent us from doing so? Probably a bit of both, and hopefully Rowley will have learned how we need to adapt to the faster defences etc,

How will we do against Wakey well at LSV I'd have us down for a win but away I think they've a chance.

Should be a great game, lets hope both teams and fans enjoy it.

Great draw, think we need to give them a good hiding as some of their fans seem to be getting a bit above their station!

Hi Wildshot

I was going to PM but it is probably good for others to see too.

If you click on the name of the person you are wanting to "ignore" you will get their profile page.
Half way down it says Add friend and Add Foe.
If you click add foe it will make them invisible on the forum to you. They can PM you but you won't see any of their posts (unless someone quotes them)

You can undo the action in the same control panel and clicking their name and submitting.

I think but can't guarantee that the other person cannot see they are blocked.

I think this banter is all good fun. Highly unlikely we would've got anything similar had we drawn any other team. Well maybe Bradford?

I think it's a great draw for both teams.

Bottom of Super League and top of championship have never been so close. It is a great "grudge" match without any actual derby history. Both will want to prove something.
Wakefield have no excuses of injuries etc, we are coming out of that and are playing lower placed opposition. Wakefield won't have any of the "our players were cleaning windows before running out on the field" type excuses if we win. We need to win to prove our status in Super League to our own fans. It is a winnable game in the sense that we are the higher placed team.

Leigh will have no excuses of full time players were just fitter as they have a full time squad too and have probably got some players 1) that Wakefield would happily sign 2) are on more money than our players. They have some great form to take in to the game and have every right to be confident after beating a team that beat Wakefield earlier in the season (whether we thought we should have won or not). Leigh play a brand of rugby that will work really well in a cup knock out. They certainly go for the shots to use a snooker phrase.

I look forward to the game and hope both sets of fans get behind the game.
I'm sure both would benefit from the money of a full house and the kudos of the win before the middle 8 play offs.
