I bet these are the same Bradford fans that peed themselves laughing when they first watched East is East when they used the same words.
People only use the racist card when it suits.

The lady doth protest too much, methinks.

Wonder what the reaction of the Bradford fans would have been had the chant been "Your just a town full of Asians"? Is that racist or factual? Will "Asian" be the next word to need asterixing out. Was it the word used or the facts hitting a sore point?
No doubt in a few years time the word Migrant will be the great forbidden word. Lets check the Tom and Jerry cartoons and Noddy books quickly!

And now we start to get to the truth - 4 or 5 people overstepped the mark; very easy to deal with and absolutely no need for a self-flagellating pubic apology, a flurry of faux internet outrage, or a wide-ranging RFL investigation.

The match commissioner included it in his report, which is how the RFL got involved.

I agree it was small minority, but if we're talking 5 or so, then they should have been ejected by the stewards once everyone else around reported them. Then problem solved, no need for "self-flagellating pubic apology, a flurry of faux internet outrage, or a wide-ranging RFL investigation" as you say. But they didn't. Which allowed the problem to develop further, which is why there's now going to be investigations into all aspects of stewarding, policing, segregation, stadium security etc.

If you actually apply the policies you have in place when the problem is small, it doesn't get to be a bigger problem, generally.

How do we know that it was reported to the stewards , or that the stewards heard what was going on. It would appear that the vast majority of supporters had no idea what was going on.
Lets wait for the findings from the R F L

Wow indeed!
I find it totally astonishing that anyone can play down the seriousness of racist chanting. I didn't hear it and I don't know if it happened or not but if it did/does happen - 4 or 5 or the whole North Stand, it doesn't matter - it must be condemned and appropriate action taken. If it is just a few I'd like to think that the decent fans around them would deal with it and that would be the end of it.

It is "Fifita" not "Fafita"

If you don't know the difference between "there", "their" and "they're" I might get annoyed.

I was sat in the East Stand and once someone mentioned on here about "We didn't start the fire" being sung it seemed to ring a bell with me. I guess I must remember hearing it on Saturday even though I was so far away from the North Stand.

I didn't put 2 and 2 together on Saturday when I first heard it. Now I've mad the connection I agree it was highly insensitive and sick to sing such a thing.

If as stated here and on the Northstanders page on Facebook it is a small number of people. Maybe 2-4 guys who people readily recognise but can't name, then I think the issue can be resolved quickly at our next home game. If Bradford and other fans have turned in video to the club we should soon see an end to the matter.

I get the uproar for singing about the fire, as for the town full of asians/pakis song im sorry but come on, heard much worse at every ground without all this faux outrage.
