Which shouldn't have been difficult as Max and Rocky were doing just fine. Chester loves Finn and tbh I can't see why. Even after Saints he was all over praising Finn. I thought Finn was alright against St Helens with the ball but he is a liability defensively and half the time that is because he is too small and too quick to gain ground across the field to close space.

Think it's about time Mr Chester said why he is playing Finn .To night he was terrible to say the least.His tackeling was poor is 5 play kicks were bad .Since he as come back in the team we are seeing a lot less movement from our 6,9 and sub 9 .Teams are running dowm is side because they know they have more space and more chance of finding a gap . I have wached Wakey for 60 years and think the constant playing of Finn is putting us in danger of been in the bottom four.One good kick does not make up for the amount of mistakes he made tonight. Ok he as been a very good championship 7 and did a good job for the coach at Castleford .Now is the time the coach should say sorry time as caught up with you

I dont mind that Finn is not as quick as he once was, but today he looked completely dis interested in the game, Just catching the ball and passing it on. The reason Catalans forwards looked so much better than ours was because of where they received the ball. Ie. Right at the defensive line and at pace. Compare that to where our forwards received it ie. stood still and a good 5 yards from the defensive line. Plenty of time for the defence to organise the tackle.
We badly need a number 7 if we are to go forward as a team. Similar to what Cas did a couple of seasons ago. Finn steadied the ship there but to go up a level they had to replace him, and i think that is exactly where we are now.
Really like Hampshire at FB but dont know where we are on his contract?
Is Grix due back anytime soon?

Best team won and deservedly so. A typical trinity half-cocked performance against a side we should be beating at home after some good performances. Big game against Leeds now next week, they’ll very much fancy closing that gap.

Think we can forget the top 4 talk once and for all.

Max was playing well at FB, but it seems he was dropped to allow Hampshire to play there to accommodate Finn.
I like Finn but I've previously stated on here it must be bad for a players moral when other players come back from injury and walk straight back into the team! Max's reward for staying loyal and signing another contract was to be dropped!
Anyway the messing about with selection has failed because we've lost both games.

There’s been plenty of talk about Bird but today he made our defence laughable rolling back the years with a great lesson and stint at forward play Hirst was very poor today but wasn’t on his own, very disappointing all round.

Hirst has gone backwards, literally. Was shocking today.
