Not really. Nobody is seriously doubting his ability, he's a good strong ex NRL player, I'd have him at Wakefield if he was on offer. What I question is the hype Leeds fans have heaped on him since day one. To me, stats don't tell the whole story as you well know. My RL brain tells me he is not nor ever was a Jamie Lyons or a Mal Meninga let alone a Nei Fox, please don't argue that.

Liam Kaye who plays for us has probably the best stats as a winger I've ever seen, incredible on face value but I'm not arguing that he's the best winger in SL, despite his stats he's not even the best winger at Trinity, possibly not the second best.

It's funny how being in the dream team suits the argument when it's your player but when it isn't it seems to get dismissed.

I certainly would not rate Jack Walker above Max Jowitt for a start, true in terms of hype he wins hands down, in terms of actual achievements so far he does not.

The real point that people are making is that if Leeds lose, the missing players will be used as an excuse and no credit will go to the opposition.

if Wakefield loses we will be in crisis and none of our injuries will coun or even be mentioned.

Still, you're not alone as there are a number of Trin fans on here who will react just the same.

Think the first 6 games will tell were we will be in S L this season .I can see everyone of the team's we play finishing in the top 8 .A good team in S L run hard ,tackles hard .Just hope that we are fit enough to stand the onslaught of playing against top 8 teams for the first 6 games ,and do not pick up bad injuries .

It's a tough start but like you say aledgend we should know what the rest of the season holds for us.
We can see tonight how Salford and Leigh will frame against the top 2 teams. It's also an opportunity to measure our performance against Wigan next Thursday..
Ok so it's the first week of the season but we need to expect more from one of the strongest squads we have had in quite a while.
Beat Leeds and push wigan all the way, a great start to the season.

I do not need you to bang a load of rubbish out , i am not saying he is a Menninga or a Lyons or a Neil Fox , all i was pointing out is he is far , far better than the poster was making out .

So even despite Walker being injured i think he would be worth more on the open market than Jowett , funny how you just picked one player out to try justify your case . As for actual achievements i think 1 super league trophy is above Jowetts

Think, that’s all it is, regarding Walker his injuries will probably dictate if he will be worth more than Max or any other young SL player and if you want my opinion and I’m sure you don’t an ageing Myler is better in that FB position
