Agree with that but they'll likely be others who get gigs as 'squad players', mainly due to the lack of numbers these days. Jowitt & Crowther still have time on their side and will likely get picked up, Langi i could see heading back to France and Kay's versatility might be useful to a smaller squad like Salford. Not much else though to be honest unless the promoted side take some.
Losing those promising youngsters will smart the most though.
The youngsters are the key part…
If we get relegated are we not entitled to any compensation under the homegrown rules for Eseh/Bowes/Pratt/Windrow etc.
To be perfectly honest if we do end up in the championship I’m hoping these lads are the ones that make up part of the team next season. We wouldn’t just lose them for free surely after the effort of developing them?
If we do end up relegated we absolutely must stay full time like Fev and look to top the league. We would have similar/more crowds than Fev and likely more earning potential outside game day with new facilities.
I agree though it would hurt the most losing the young players and it would be an absolute travesty if we couldn’t maintain the elite academy. The super league and championship is absolutely littered with trinity ex academy players. It’s actually one thing we get right.
