We'll be going on the western terrace on Friday (group of 5 of us) even though I have season ticket for upper north. Preferable location for but not an option when it's allocated for away fans. Just Catalans and Shudds then.

When I asked in the shop they told me access to the upper stand would be dependent on having the right ticket, so if your ticket was for the lower stand you wouldn't be allowed up the new access steps to the upper level that are on the old walkway, but if your ticket was for the upper stand you would be free to stay in the lower.

You can go downgrade but not upgrade.

I’ve done the same thing - regretted it after paying for it and tried to change it twice but was refused.
I’ve a feeling you will have to go where your ticket was bought for but I hope I’m wrong!

I don't have an issue with the ticketing.

It was made clear at the outset that the NS had 2 types of ticket, priced slightly differently; the upper and lower.

It was explained you needed a specific ticket due to capacity auditing/limits.

I seem to recall the club saying that the NS upper would likely fill with ST holders i.e. very few, if any, ad hoc NS sales.

This is a good thing - it's creating an event, a demand, a hot ticket = you want your spot, buy it early.

On the basis that currently, there is no direct access to the "Upper", if you dont want to be under the roof, just dont go up the stairs ?

One of the best things about having terracing is that you can move around and stand with mates etc and it will be a crying shame if this has to stop, albeit that I accept that with the "upper" there is a small price difference..

It will settle down over time.

Obviously if half the space can accommodate all the season ticket holders, as is tomorrow, then there will be plenty of tickets available for non ST holders once the end is complete.

I'm sure you are right...but over time - and when the bigger games come - if you want to stand where you prefer, you'll have to invest in the appropriate ticket, or take your chance on game day.

Create a demand.

From what I have seen there will be at least 4 sets of steps to allow access to the upper terrace and I am not sure if there will be any other way to get there. Presumably there will be stewards at every point who will have to be continuously checking tickets as people gain entry.
