Some of you will be wondering why we didn't come clean earlier about our involvement in this.

This was all meant to be kept as a private matter - with any announcements only coming via agreed worded statements. One man has decided to open Pandora's Box (!) and open this up to public debate. His reasoning is to try and force the clubs to agree on a process that they cannot. He is now playing hard-ball with the packets of land offered to both clubs - and this from someone who purports to support Rugby League in the district.

We will stay strong - as we - the club / trust / developer - still believe that this can be done. 8)

is Box's threat to remove the offer of the land lease extended to both clubs. Could we proceed without this offer or is it central to our plans?

Peter is a keen rugby league fan and endeavours to watch his favourite team, the Castleford Tigers, when at all possible.

Incidentally, I got a response back from Cllr Denise Jeffery who is council member for Glasshoughton and Cas Central.

She says that the council are working hard to keep both clubs in Super League.

As long as they work to the latest set of rules they have invented.

Years of nothing (or worse) from them have resulted in none of our clubs having suitable facilities. Now they want to be seen to be our saviours - by forcing one club into the others.

I'm not against the Cas' development, never have been, but my job relates to Wakey - and Glasshoughton isn't part of it (other than by a 30year old accident)

Does one man in the council hold so much sway? Let's get Neil Fox involved - he could tell Box if he pulls the rug on Trin AGAIN he's gonna get Neils award for the freedom of Wakefield stuffed so far ..... you get the drift! Being a RL hero Neil might even get the odious, obsequious scum-loving Harry Gration to feature the event on Look North.

Both clubs were asked to prepare business plans. You only do this based on the information available to you and that included the loan against land - very publicly offered to stave us off following the collapse of their own venture.

So, yes - it is part of the business plan - and should be honoured!

Can safetly say TRB you've learnt some stuff from that marketing guy, a lot of words that say nothing to alleviate any worries.

Seems like swag is a 3rd wheel here with no real influence from now on, they identified the need people are looking at that from the proposal by swag, swag has run its course and cant do no more.

Re: Stadium Statement : Thu Jul 15, 2010 8:04 pm
I don't think that's true.

If anything it could be the catalyst for both fans to unite against any groundshare on Sunday. For me, this is no coincidence that it just happened to come out now before a big game. Nor is it coincidence that the WE chooses to ask the questions right now.
