The obsession with our situation from the Wakey fans is certainly irritating quite a few Bulls fans. I'd suggest a new found hatred is probably a little strong however.
The fact that there has been a thread at the top of the page of this forum pretty much since April confirms that obsession. The whinging 'why didn't anyone help us' probably isn't helping either. You've got plenty to look forward to at the moment. You would think that would be of more interest, unless some fans are actually quite enjoying our plight.. who knows.
Obsession my arris - every board has a thread about the Bulls situation and rightly so; the shenanigans up at Odsal Top has ramifications for the entire game and the way it's handled by the governing body should be of interest to anyone who cares about the sport.
The added spice round these parts of course, is that no one gave a flying fluck when we were going to the wall; as it happens, Mr Glover did alright by us and a large number of our creditors, and we appear to be slowly rebuilding, without the outpourings of sympathy and hysteria that the Bulls seem to be benefitting from.
"Castleford's biggest home crowd of the 1991-1992 season wasn't quite 12,000 while on average they'd sit around 6000 but the noise, the chanting and the singing just blows you away" - Tawera Nikau "Standing Tall"
"I can tell you the atmosphere was extraordinary at Wheldon Road on big days. The ground held around 15,000 people, every one of them close to the action on the field and the noise would be enough to send a rumble through the town" - Malcolm Reilly "Reilly - A Life in Rugby League"

Bren, You and many others on here ,"in the know", keep repeating this over and over, just out of interest which of the 93 unsecured creditors who were owed a total of £1,280,000 did Glover re-pay?

Just asking.
Do your own research.
Back on topic: The assistance that the Bulls got from the RFL at the outset didn't bother me one bit. In fact, I supported it. Why would any RL fan want to see another club fold, local rivals or not? The RFL is there to support and protect the game, supposedly. They were doing what I'd expect any governing body to do, under the circumstances.
The longer this saga drags on, however, the more evident it becomes that there are special cases in rugby league for whom, it seems, no amount of support is enough to allow them to continue, and ultimately prosper. This sits badly with me, after our own experience, but at least I'm not a Blackpool fan.

The figure was quoted at the last audience with night, I'm sure someone will remember.

He quoted the figure at ceder court can't remember exactly but I bet it's more than the new Bradford lot re pay when they don't have to.
If they're so blinkered that they can't see for themselves what double standards the RFL are showing then stuff 'em. I can't be arsed with them anymore.
It stinks but it's the RFL that should have to answer some questions at the end of all this and not Bradford. Let's face it as fans we'd probably have accepted any offers of help from the RFL, other clubs, General Public if it was offered.
Glover was never given a SL guarantee so we'll see if that'll be the same here. Glover also could not negotiate the lease with the RFL since they don't hold ours.
