Makes it even less likely, Yorkcourt won't pay it back and leave the council with a large debt to repay rather than us. with all the cuts they have had in recent times they won't, probably can't, take the risk.

There was clubs suggestion of the council loaning the money. Even the conservative government believe that spending on infrastructure is good for the economy.

I also think that further meetings between the council, the club, the trust and any new developers should be made public

subtle difference but the suggestion was the council borrow the money and the club cover the interest and the council pursue York Court to honour their obligation to repay the capital borrowed.

Obviously, the fact everyone seems to accept York Court wont honour anything makes this pretty much a non-starter unfortunately.

So when is Councillor Box meeting with the Club & Trust because the clock is ticking , and time is running out to get a new plan in order to satisfy Super league. Sorry but can't see it happening by the end of the month.

As the unilateral undertaking has not yet been replaced, they could always enforce that.

But then we are back to the 60k trigger point and whether Newcold counts or not and until that is reached no obligation to build a stadium.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing but with York Courts track record they should not have been allowed to build anything without proof of funding to start the stadium at the same time as the first brick was laid. This is the basis of the Cas s106 as I understand it
