The building behind the north stand is or was, used as storage, for such as furniture from players houses. Used to be a real mess inside. Could have been put to better use I think
I think they mean the Beer Shed. You know the one that had long queues at every game to sample Snowie's excellent Ales. All of a sudden it's another target to use to denigrate our club. Do we still have those puddles near the Con club?
Personally, I dont know him that well, but what I will say is that overall he has done a good job, but stabilizing the club, and as someone who stands on the East Stand, he does talk to the fans so I would say that he is approachable.
However, like players and coaches, CEO's and Chairmen have a shelf life, and maybe that time is now. Doesn't he have a young family and overseas property. Maybe he wants to spend more time with them, and in the sun. Who would blame him.
Someone said earlier that they're not sure he's a rugby man naturally, but I do know he used to play football.
One thing that does come across though, is that he has fallen out with some over the years, who have been associated with the club, some of which have been linked with this great club a long time before he came on board. Maybe it's a clash of personalities with some.
Very very few of the posters on here treat him with contempt if any. Why are we making out that people are against the owner. The majority of Wakefield fans are well behind Michael Carter. Some however question his loyalty towards the coach. There is such a thing as nuance.
You are totally correct on all counts, it's a shame you don't always follow that rule.

He used to play for Pontefract Town if that helps.

Well, you're nearly right Adam, very few - but certainly some do! I have never said that anyone is against the owner totally, but if I was him I would take personally some of the comments made in recent weeks. I totally accept that the vast majority of Wakefield fans are behind MC and appreciate what he has done for our club. Nuance ? I don't know about that, but it was a bloody nuisance looking in the dictionary to read what it meant!

You only have to look on the new “fans” page on Facebook to see that. Fair enough people might not be happy with Chester, I’m not, but you don’t bite the hand that feeds you.
The only thing Carter is guilty is perhaps being too loyal to Chester, but who would have the courage to sack a man with a young family during this climate?
I personally think it’s time for Chester to move on. You only have to see the second half performance against Catalans on Sunday that something needs to give.

He's not nearly right old lad he's 100% right, there's an old saying you should remember, I nearly mentioned it yesterday but I'm glad I saved it for you as it's more appropriate, you can fool some of the people some of the time but you can't fool all of the people all of the time, he is the top banana at the club, while he's more than happy to take the praise, he should be able to take the criticism as well, as for the word nuance it's a modern day thing which wasn't around in our day.
I'd personally be devastated if Michael Carter left the club after he has done so much and saved it from extinction to some extent. However, I think his number one loyalty should be to the 5,000 or so patrons of the club rather than to one person ie the Coach. His mantra in the early days of his ownership was "honesty" and "openess,": one of those qualities doesn't seem to be very forthcoming in recent times. Come on Mr C please let us see some form of message of intent either on this forum or in the Press. WE, the fans deserve better.
Pulling the trigger with what in mind, the games in free fall. Our seasons over and provided the club take a step back and make some money available for a couple of quality signings i think its the best we can hope for. the recent signings are totally ineffective and to be honest probably would not get selected in any SL side, yes its down to Chester but his constant chopping and changing does not help. Before the club can move foreword Chester MUST decide whoes best in what position and stop messing. Its crazy the number of F/B we have at the club . We have always had a squad that can cover a number of key positions but at the moment they are totally off the pace and adaptability seems to have gone out of the window. I have no idea who comes at the top of the pegging order for the F/B spot and neither does chester. What I do know is we are left with players surplus to requirements.and unless we can ship them out on loan, or exchange deals they will be with us for some time..
I have not seen any topics headed Carter out but plenty saying Chester out. This would suggest most supporters have no problem with MC other than his refusal to see the light and remove Chester. We are being told that the club needs more finance but currently by keeping Chester the club is emerging money because of the loss of any bonus based on our league position and the fans with the on field performances. I guess if they are willing to accept the latter for friendship then they should not be surprised or critical of any supporter who chooses to not renew their season tickets or buy merchandise.
