How do you know there’s no issues, have you been down and had a look? How do you know what it was like under foot after the game had been played on it? What effect have the snow and some pretty significant frosts had on it? It may be a precautionary move from Sky but there must be significant enough doubts otherwise they wouldn’t have moved it.

It’s a costly issue for sure and not only for the remedial work that is having to take place. Pretty sure after the first tv game you still get extra payments for home Sky games to cover the usual reduction in crowd income. 20K is the figure i’ve seen mentioned previously. Handy chunk of income we likely won’t get down the line.

In terms of suggestions I can only judge by peoples CV's on paper but one example would be Danny Ward who proved with London that he can get better performances out of a squad than it looked like it could produce on paper.

I feel that MA got the job because he was the only candidate that was seriously considered not because he was the best candidate for the job.

Tony Smith said he was going back to Aus - I suppose the opp to take charge of a team with a good budget and finance may have changed his mind - Did you honestly think he'd have come here?
Why go on about Wire? Powell was going there, he wouldn't have come here and they underperformed last season..
They have splashed the cash that they have and are benefitting from it by giving him what he wanted.
Perhaps they spoke with Danny Ward?

You said things don't change much in a year and I have pointed out 3 examples where they have and I could go on. The coach is the most important signing a club will make, far more important than any player and we rushed into it and went for the cheapest and easiest option as always.

Yep and I have replied to your comments.
Apart from not really answering my question you banged on about two coaches who would never have come here and the other we dont know if he had been approached.

I get the feeling that Prince Andrew could have been named the new coach and you would have been happy with the appointment and think that Carter/Minnards were doing a good job.

I get the feeling that if Trent Robinson had been named you still would have moaned about not getting a good English coach and he was coming here to top up his pension
