When he was with us I can't really remember issues with his defence or being too light weight. In fact at the back end of his time we seemed to play him in the second row. He should never have left as I thought he was comming on great in his development. Bad but of business by a clueless individual
At the time he was with us and it's just my opinion, I felt he was prone to getting bullied a bit by bigger centres/players but he was just a young player thrown into our team at the time, who was a prospect. His talent is obviously in attack, with his pace and eye for a gap. I've watched him a few times at HKR and he's been alright but if he wasn't one of our homegrown players I don't think I'd have noticed him so much tbh. I honestly don't remember him playing second row, look at the picture of him playing for Cas the other day, he's still the same fairly slight build he was when he left here. If he did, I don't know what we were thinking. Ateotd as I said I'd have him back, I trust Powell's judgment and working with Shenton would do wonders for his game like it seems to have with Pratt but I wouldn't pay Hull KR much of a fee for him.
Carter explained the situation on a podcast after he left, Hull KR had enquired about him before he left and we knocked them back but when we became desperate and wanted Dagger, who tbf played well for us. Corey was the only bargaining chip the club had he said. No one wanted to see him go but we unfortunately were a skint club then.
As for Scott, before this season I thought he looked like a good player but let's be honest Hull is a mess and there looks to be a toxic environment and no one has looked that good at Hull, like you say getting him away from there will reinvigorate his career.
