This is as crude a measurement as I could do, but the West Stand is around fifteen metres deep (I used Google Maps in satellite view and compared it to the try-line to twenty metre mark on the pitch). The East Stand isn't much deeper. The stand behind the posts at Salford is around twenty two metres deep, if you measure it from the hoardings, so that it incorporates an exit path, and I'm pretty sure there is a big space behind the terraces, so that the terracing does not go for the full width.
What I'm trying to say is that a stand the same as Salford's away stand, or the seats along the side, would fit easily, assuming the terracing will still be as close to the pitch.
I imagine the devvelopment will be the East Stand for best seats and hospitality. Bulldoze the flats and build a small away stand similar to Salford. West and North Terraces for home fans, but perhaps the North Stand smaller so that the looks more balanced. I'm guessing that it wouldn't be too dissimilar to Salford in appearance, except the stands will hug the pitch a little more and the main stand won't be as grand.
