Dad was a shop steward in the ETU and campaigned heavily for Labour in the landslide GE win in 1945. He wrote a little ditty for that campaign which was played in most working men's clubs in east Hull. His brother was a Labour member of the Hull City Council and ended up coming out here to Aus. with his family in the mid 50's.
