Huddersfield have in SL era managed to totally abuse us when it comes to inter club transfers, we get Paul Riley and Gaskill when they are completely finished, we get the brilliant Brad Drew just when he is starting to fade. They get Murphy, Brough and Ferguson in their pomp, they to rub salt in our wounds we get Brough back when he is shot to pieces. They certainly see us coming. As far as tomorrows match they look miles too strong for us in all departments, the bookies give us a 6 point start which is not enough. They are playing with a desire and passion that we are lacking. They play a mistake free basic style of rugby earning the right to play once they have controlled field position, we don't- for some reason we believe we are the Harlem Globetrotters giving away cheap possession and field position either by making basic mistakes are giving penalties away. We go lateral rather than forward that makes us easy to defend. The Cas, Wigan and Hull KR match attitude from the players is going to take some turning around. We have the look of a group of players who feel sorry for themselves and its all not fair etc etc and it seems we just dont have the leaders with the strength of character to get us out of that mindset
you clearly haven't watched us play the last three games - anything BUT mistake free! In fact your description of Wakey has been us the last three games so I hope no one is expecting a classic!
I disagree with the above about a couple - Drewy - when he came back to us for his second stint he wasn't as quick I grant you - but still as smart and clever a player as ever so you got a very decent player there. The fans didn't want Reilly to leave and Reilly never wanted to play for you, or for anyone else, claret and gold ran through that lads veins and pulling on a Wakey shirt probably made him sick to his stomach. He could never play the same for anyone else.
I honestly hope you don't play Gaskell at fullback him combined with both miller and lino will make you dangerous attack wise. Gaskell plays best when he is able to have free reign to read what's on, take on the line and play a little off cuff around good organised set plays, and use his kicking game to good advantage. In the line he can be weak defensively as he can be more easily targeted by the forwards but less so at fullback as he isn't easily wrongfooted so for me FB is his best position.
