The bbc ticker has just said that Wakefield Hooker Terry Newton will not contest any ban after failing a drugs test.

Just heard on the radio that Newton will not contest any ban he should receive. Think that pretty much settles the guilty verdict. Good that he's come out with this and allow the club to plan for his departure sooner rather than later.

Does this mean his contract is terminated as of now, rather than him being suspended.
I feel sorry for him in a way, as he says a grave error of judgement.

Definitely sounds like an admission of guilt to me, growth hormone = performance enhancing drug = cheat ?

Why do some people do it? and at his age and experience too

With regards to Cullen's comments specifically about growth hormones on Boots and All the other day, it seems as though it is rife in Rugby League if you believe his comments, and we need to act as a sport fast.
