I already said Wood would have played Walker is going to play fullback in front of jowit in my opinion (time will tell) and no matter what you think about Battye he is nearly 30 years old and has hardly played any top flight rugby, there is a reason for that and also why he hasn't been given the number 8 or 10 shirt
You ask why Battye hasn't been given the number 8 or 10 shirt, but say that Walker will play in front of Jowitt who incidentally has been given the number 1 shirt, not sure where your logic is there chief, also not sure what Battye's age has to do with it, isn't he the youngest recognised prop at the club?, and also one last point, wasn't the shirt numbers given out before he signed anyway, and if that was the case you wouldn't expect the coach to relieve one of the present incumbent of the jerseys' surely.

Yes I believe walker will play infront of Jowitt thats my opinion Battye's age has lots to do with it,why do you think he is nearly 30 and nobody has previously come in for him to play top flight rugby ? Whilst he is a hard worker he is never going to change or win you a game, championship quality at best but I hope he proves me wrong (as well as all the other coachs who didn't come in for him previous) Enjoy your week
Whilst we were missing 3 players as you say possibly on wood would make the starting 13 (who are you dropping for Jowett and Battye) Whilst jowit is ok hes not getting in front of Walker and Battle whlust he gives 100% hes a championship prop at best
Leeds startimg team would have been something like this i guess
1 Jack Walker 2 Tom Briscoe 3 Harry Newman 4 Konrad Hurrel 5 Ash Handley 6 Robert Lui 7 Luke Gale 8 Oledski 9 Leeming 10 Prior 11 Alex Mellor 12 Ryse Martin 13 Tevano
Whilst their pack is/was probably their strongest they will get this year (unless they sign) They had 5 out of 7 backs missing that would have 100% started. To lose your superstar fullback, both centres, last seasons leading try scorer and your stand off obliterated their team With this information Leeds had 40% of there strongest team missing and 72% of their backs missing What we had possibly 1 player missing that would have started Makes a huge difference, with there backs in place we definitely don't get the chances out wide like we did and under so much more pressure defensively against there strike players
Good attempt at fitting your narrative - i asked for the first 17,not first 13. Jowitt 100% before Walker - Hampshire would be full back before Walker. Battye would have been in 17 instead of Tangata. K Wood would have been in ahead of J Wood.
Even though you only decided to use the first 13 - still no where near a virtual 2nd string Leeds team.

What amazes me is how these posters emerge after one loss, never to be seen again, then another one appears spouting the same old nonsense and we are supposed to not be able to work out what they are up to. It's insulting, to be honest, my grandson could probably spot the pattern and the agenda.

Dont need anything to fit my "narrative" 5 out of your starting 7 backs missing surely in anybody books would be classed as 2nd string
Just to weigh up your argument are you saying that if we had Jowit missing, Johnstone missing, tupou missing,Lyne missing and Miller missing you wouldn't class that as a 2nd string waky side ?

Alex walker will not start ahead of max or even hampshire unless there is a half back injury issues he is clearly 3rd choice full back.the aquad numbers where issued before eddie arrived and i would say eddie will start more than not fit but its just as important for you sub props to be as good as your starting.as for his age and experience did you not see how well he played for london when in sl and how well he played for us last season and as for his age for a prop hes around the prime age for most props

Yes I did see how he played for London in super league and he was "average" in a very poor London side that got relegated. I also saw how he played for us last year and as stated before he is 100% but again was average in what can only be described as a poor team/season again Thats me out on this matter now as you know my opinions.

Nice Sidestep, and yes I will enjoy my week, considerably more than you will I'm sure, and thanks for explaining your thoughts' on the matter in great detail

So you are saying that it wasn't a very weak/second string Leeds team As stated previous if we had Jowit,Johnstone,Tupou,Lyne and Miller all missing you wouldn't call it a weak side or a 2nd string ?
