this needs a bigger response now, there will be a shareholders meeting on 4th January 2011 where I bet it will be announce plan B.
if it is at Barnsley then that shouldn't change our position if anything it should enhance it, so we then have to look at playing out from there until the PI has been completed.
our next step is to get that franchise without it were doomed, with it and we have another three years.
the 2012 season traveling to the new stadium should be set up using buses from different parts of Wakefield rather than the two that we use now, and pick up and drop off points on the way.
lack of support away from belle vue will be the death of the club.

Don't you mean a bus and a skateboard at the back ?
Did hear rumour that plan B was moving in with Fev R at Post Office Road, would certainly attract more supporters than watching NL at Barnsley, dont know if move would be part of a merger or if it eas just on a temp basis. Would we still have investors if playing in NL for another 3 years what would be point of playing in stadium with car park big enough for 25 buses when only playing Batley, Hunslet,(no disrespect) etc. Think it is looking good for Halifax. dont know how much messing about with thornes park has knocked us back. All blinking doom and gloom but will make every effort to make every game home and away.

I agree without the franchise the club is doomed to death or obscurity (in perpetuity)... not sure which is worse?
however I fear that if the move away from Wakefeld is more than one year then that too will prove terminal.
From the RFL's point of view, would you let either us or Cas in based on any promises we make for the future? They have done that before remember. While they have said 1 to definately go, i dont see why both us and Cas wont go as I think this news brings Halifax right into the mix for a place.
Im waiting for the M word to be raised again?? Having said that, where would we play? Neither of us seem to be able to sort it.
The problem is that you promised ground improvements when you were promoted nearly 10 years ago and nothing has changed. Yes our application has been slow and Richard Wright has taken his time to make annoucements, but slowly but surely the jigsaw is taking shape. The recent news of the lifting of the 'exclusion zone' around Hicksons and today's decision to guarantee the £2 million worth of land from WMDC has made our planning application stronger. The fact that the road network is in place and the land ready to start building on, plus the fact we own our ground gives us a slight advantage.
I really hope that you can find a solution and are in SL from 2012.
Reading this and other information it seems certain Widnes will be accepted into Super League and one club demoted. I also think it certain that Newmarket wil be constructed, but not for some time. What needs to happen is for Wakefield Trinity Wildcats to ensure it has more going for it than one other club. Salford,I think, will remain in Super League.Harlequins have a rock solid benefactor. The weak link is the club in Wrexham who have possibly lost a good deal of any neutral support the club may have gained at Bridgend. The actions/inactions of the 'people behind them' are not good and they are disliked by the soccer fans and possibly the locals. The youth development of rugby league players is mainly in south Wales. I do not think the soccer fans would object to any actions which upset the club owners and ends the soccer clubs ties with rugby league. You could start to garner support at Cardiff,in February, posssibly with Cas and Salford fans also helping, and having followers from other heartlands clubs on your side. Trying to persuade supporters to boycott attending the Racecourse Ground would certainly hit that club in the pocket and while sending a message to the RFL who appear to waive the rules for some clubs,it would certainly send a message to the 'owners' of the Wrexham club. To make an omelette you have to break some eggs. I agree with expansion and would like this country to show an interest in sport but the treatment of the fans in Bridgend, the players,John Dixon, and now Brian Noble,Jon Sharpe etc.and the conduct of the Wrexham club sends out the wrong message. Don't despair for too long - You have a club to fight for !

I expect that this was organized ready for this case, but we need to be in the lime light now for the right reasons as the bids go in, after the franchise bids we will know our fete

a move to fev is going to bring NL, barnsley at least give us half a chance

but would post office road meet the super league criteria?
i think barnsley is the best option but i reckon your looking at 2 years minimum at oakwell and thats if.
1.the rfl accept your franchise with oakwell has your temporary home.
2.can the club be a viable business while you are at barnsley with expected lower gates and full rent to pay for every home game if you get a franchise.
my money is on the club using oakwell has the franchise bid but if the bid fails and the rfl decide you need to take time out of super league until newmarket is built, then surely the best option to keep the business going would be a groundshare with featherstone or dewsbury which would be far cheaper than oakwell.
at the end of the day you are now at the mercy of the rfl and even a move to oakwell may be a bridge too far with the extra costs and less income.
not here to gloat im just trying to get a fealing of what your next move will be.
