Re: mason, I think with the right coaching he could develop in to a class prop. Cut out the daft pens and knock ons. Hard as nails and hits the line hard. If the article is correct and hudds are paying part of his salary could prove to be a shrewd move.

He's already had some great coaches, I think it's a wee bit late in the day for anyone to turn him into a class prop - surely it's time for the next generation, Masons had his chances.

He's be an OK signing at best which may well be enough who knows.

Depends what were paying mason; if its 40/50k a year then he would be a decent signing.

Not so sure about Mason.

If Southern has gone back to Aus with his family then I think the club should make an announcement. Wouldn't surprise me if he's waiting in the wings for his chance in the play offs though.

No he's a mere 6' 3'' according to your site

Yet another slag off any player who may be leaving Hull fan - you keep sending them because most seem to do just fine - I'd be more worried about the ones you're signing if I were you

Well if he's 6' 3" then I'm even suprised at that!

And if you think I'm slating Lyne off because he's apparently leaving Hull then you haven't seen him play have you. He's meant to have blistering pace yet last season got ran down by a Huddersfield back rower! He's so raw to say he's played SL it's unbelievable!

And yes I'm sure Hull fans need to worry about signing the likes of Ellis, Holdsworth, Chase, Arundel etc. I'm sure you're all happy at signing other teams casts offs such as Lee Smith eh!

I've seen Reece Lyne play, and he's terrible. Championship 1 standard at best. I'd have Cowling before him.

It would be strange to see us sign him especially with Cowling waiting in the wings and having a pretty good SL debut.

Would like to see us concentrate on the likes of Cowling, Fletcher, Walshaw and Trout.

The above could be putting real tough pressure on starting/ bench spots next year with a good offseason.
