At the very least I think as he is under 23 and from our academy the mandatory fees will apply (like Shaw and Croft).
If there’s investment for next year and we do end up in the championship then I can’t say I won’t be looking forward to winning the majority of our games and likely reaching finals.
I'd like to think if certain people do the right thing, and allow the takeover to happen, that we look at our younger players, and do a bit more in trying to retain them.
I get that they don't have the experience to demand a top end contract, but people like Lewis Murphy is a prime example as to where things arent always black and white. Made his debut early last season, built a reputation, and quickly established himself, and was first choice at the start of the year.
The question you have to ask, at any point has an offer to improve his current deal been offered, before the NRL became interested. Eseh is steadily following.
Do we even offer young players incentives, such as bonuses for every so many games played etc, other clubs do
