How people quickly forget where we were just 7 months ago.........
Unquestionably this has been forgotten by some, but equally we should be head and shoulders above Bradford and London both of whom are having there own problems and one of whom has already beaten us on our own patch.
I'm not one for bagging the coach or hanging out players to dry, i try to take a more sensible view that if they are considered good enough for the club we are, then thats how it is until they prove otherwise.
Richard Agar was not universaly popular prior to his appointment and that has gone against him, that was all largely forgotten when we were on the run of 7 of course.
Some of what he does baffles me, but then again lots of things people do baffles me, but at times he does leave himself wide open to criticism and then the run of 7 is completely now forgotten and we are back to where we were.
Personally i think the decision to give him a three year contract was a bad one, because after year one he hadn't taken us up another level, i appreciate finances and other pressures may have influenced that and the decision to give him the extension but now in hind sight it looks questionable at best.
From what i here the players like him and his ability to spot talented players is unquestionable, but i think at times his take on the game in hand or game in progress is bewildering.
Is it rash to say he should go (if we can actually afford to do that)? Yes i think it is, because i can't see a replacement that would be any less of a risk and there is still plenty of the season for him (and the players after HKR) to redeem themselves.
Should we have more points on the board? Yes we should and the coach and players need to shoulder that responsibility.
Might there be a time this season when it is time for a change? Yes i think there could be, but based on where we have come from a comfortable 12th will be fine, anything less comfortable and i think the club need to look closely at the matter.
