You do it vastman you wear the halo!

No I've already done it, or is that another fact that's whistled through your empty head, so I can wear a halo I suppose. Me and the other members of SWAG are very much partly responsible for the 12 million we did actually get, so don't you dare challenge me.

I may not be everyones cup of tea but apart from SWAG, I've helped raise thousands for this club with helping with the Fanzine, the commemorative dinners and countless other things. But that's not good enough for a world class mouth of like you.

So again spell out, what have you EVER done.

Then tell us what you are going to do to raise this million pounds. Should be easy as you're the man with all the answers.

I will now wait for you to come up with the following as it's your turn to be in charge and actually do something instead of slagging off others.

I hope to here in the following weeks that...

1: You've made contact with the club and had your plans sanctioned.

2: You have created a working organisation, with a committee that you have recruited, a website and a members list and a bank account and then registered it as a Trust.

3: You've developed an actual working plan, architects drawings etc. Nobody will give you a penny for something they can't see real plans for.

4: Gained basic planning consent, the club may do that for you but it could take years and many meetings you will have to attend.

5: Recruited a fan based construction group to help build it. That's got you hasn't it! You see the West terrace stand plan I was on about involved a good deal of voluntary labour. If you can't get that then you need to raise at least another half a million, good luck.

Thats just for starters.

I now suggest you go away and change your underpants and give it a rest. Or miracle of miracles you actually do something and make it happen. Of course we all know the answer to that don't we. See you in a few months when you think it's all been forgotten :SHHH:

Any chance of you posting you West side development plans Vastly. I assumed it would have included some voluntary labour and individual s involved with necessary skills.

Unfortunately no.

Effectively these plans belong to the club and as such are confidential. I posted them to PB because he was a SWAG committee man and they were not the full plans. Whilst it's on the back burner for now it may not stay that way.

I can tell you it is a plan specifically designed to be done wherever possible by skilled and especially unskilled volunteers. It's a very basic construction but fit for purpose. Even the materials and equipment used are the sort that you could beg and borrow.

What it shows more than anything is the horrendous costs of construction these days. When planned 300-400k looked possible, Now it's probably double that. Nearly a million pounds for something that will effectively be not much more than we have there now, but all at the right levels, a bit more cover and a hell of a lot neater to look at.

Totally agree.
Was chatting to him on New Years Day in Whitby and said to him then that I (like others) was disappointed he was not staying.
TBH, he was good about it and I wished him all the best.
As has been said hindsight is a wonderful thing, but I'm sure we'd have been better with him here than without him.
He would have definately shown his worth to the team this season thats for sure.

You're just a mindless ignorant fool.

Now go away and come back when you've raised a million pounds. So see you never.

Note: I think you'll find that WMDC endorsed that deal, I'm really nowhere near as important as you

All fart, no poop. You're asked to do something and you run a mile. Says it all really

I'll break it down for you what you could get for circa 12m 10/11 years ago is very much different to what you could get now. Hell even last year. Red diesel is no more, that alone puts £'s on construction projects.
