Trust me, I've had enough of this too. I'm just not as dramatic about it as some. Today is unacceptable. Simple as that. Change is needed. But some seem to want to burn down the whole house in a tantrum.
Change the coach. Fine. Make sure its a better one Lose some players. Great. Make sure they are the right ones and don't just cancel contracts because they are up for renewal Don't slag off people at the club just cos it's trendy when they are trying their best, whether player, coach, board or backroom.
And above all, for me I'll support the club by going to games and paying TV subs no matter what they do.
But that's the whole point you appear to be missing?! The Chairman WON'T sack the coach will he, he's being employed for the benefit of himself rather than the benefit of the club, because no coach would expect to still be there with that win/loss ratio? It appears he's not to be judged or made accountable, therefore he's untouchable, and given his post match interviews when he never takes reponsibility for anything, he's also slightly deluded as to his own coaching ability? That's now why Carter is getting flak, rightly or wrongly, he has basically brought this on himself, by failing to act sooner.
Or you could remember the reality and see that we had no one else with Covid and injuries. He's had promising moments and plugged a gap when we needed it. Chester hasn't made him a bad player no matter how much you want to blame all the ills of the world on him
Never said Chester has made him a bad player, just an unnecessary loan signing.

Maybe the chairman doesn't need to sack the coach, personally I much prefer to read the thread than post on it nowadays, and I've read quite a lot of rumours concerning everything club wise on here, there's plenty of rumours regarding a new deal for the coach, the only thing some fans can't decide is the length of the new contract, I haven't a clue whether it's been signed or it's just on the table or whether indeed there is a new contract at all, do you really know yourself? or are you just going with the flow like the rest of us, my point being is that unless you actually know for sure there is a contract why upset yourself over rumours, if there isn't a contract on offer then he doesn't need to sack him he'll go for nothing at the end of the season anyway, we've nothing to look forward to as things stand, and this way Carter does what he does best by saving money for things more important hopefully, that's how I see it time will tell I suppose.
That's exactly my point. Just anyone is not the way to recruit a coach.
These players need to be cleared out. If we get a new coach as well then so be it but just like the players it needs to be the right one. This season is gone. What's the point of making snap decisions to make it worse.
That was awful today. Something needs to change yes but not just jump for anyone.
It's far easier to change the coach than it is to clear out half of the players. I dont think that Kear would come back for a 3rd spell but, i'm happy to wager every penny that I have, that Kear would get more out of the players that we have than Mr Chester is doing. He's a proven first grade coach, unlike Mr Chester.
IF we make a change in Head Coach, we may find that some of our players arent too bad.
Apart from Leigh being below us, our current situation has all the ingredients of the Tony "Casper" Smith reign and look what a difference a new coach had with that same set of players

Maybe in future we shouldn't be looking at hiring a coach who'd sooner be on the golf course

What about the article the other day saying the club was on the verge of making some 'notable' signings and CC said all that needs doing is crossing the t's and dotting the i's. The uncertainty surrounding the coaching situation is only fuelled more by imminent signings being overseen by CC.
