On that note - it infuriates me when opposition players stand back and let him crab across the line looking for an opportunity; someone needs to take responsibility on Friday - step up and smash the living daylights out of him. I'd nominate Aiton - his tackle technique is positively brutal.

Its a nice notion but that exactly what he wants them to do. He has the slight of hand to slip a ball through the gap thats created by anyone coming out of the line, by the time he gets smashed the ball has gone and is under our posts. Keeping a disaplined defensive line, not buying his dummies and crowding him by moving up as a group out is the way to defend against him, with the fullback not too far behind the line. All he ends up doing then is running from side to side and dropping an inside ball to a player who is already marked.

You are a sensible spoil-sport!
I know you're right, but tell me you wouldn't love to see Aiton put a shoulder in his ribs and pile-drive him into the mud? He certainly is a mercurial, skilful player, but he also doesn't like it up him - Rangi in sulk mode would be a bonus for us.

Nothing i'd like to see more trust me!! He seems to like playing the hard man, a taste of his own medicine would go down nicely! Only difference is we'd do it with a fair challenge. But ultimately i just wanna win the game, don't care how!!
Drop Annakin for Mellars??? Are you right in t'head lad???
To miss out - for me - Fox and Mellars.
I said "Drop Annakin OR Mellars" ,, not for. And no I'm not,, that's what supporting Wakefield does for you I wouldn't drop Fox either. The lads been gettin some stick over last couple of week, no better day for him to prove his worth than in the derby game.

I wouldn't drop Fox either. Whilst he does struggle with the high ball, together with Cockayne he is vital to our attacking game. Both our wingers help us make some quick yards up field. Personally I'd switch Lee Smith and Fox around when we don't have the ball, as I'm sure Smith is much safer when defending kicks.

I'd stick with Foxy too,Watkins was garbage in defence tonight big style but still scores tries.

I'd love to see Aiton do to Chase what he did to Tomkins last year, in the space of ten minutes he wiped out Tomkins and Lauiaki, both legitimate.

I'd be more inclined to go with Lynne on Fox's wing due to his form before he got injured, strength and pace which if he gets any space will really cause Cas some problems. He's supposedly the fastest player in our squad? Lee Smith & Collis then in the centres.
Regardless of this Fox will play and I hope he proves my gut feeling wrong and makes no mistakes, is solid and scores a hat trick winning us the game. He has been good for us overall since he's been back but his form hasn't been great in the last few games
