I've parked at both the airport and Eccles rugby club too in previous years. A few good ways to avoid the awful car park.

I always park at the airport as well, coffee, snack and watch the planes coming and going, weather permitting of course, 10 minutes stroll to the ground, simples.

How quick do you walk? Salford's ground to Manchester airport is 11.3miles mate. :)

Re: Next up Salford : Wed May 31, 2017 6:49 am
Glad away fans are finally cottoning on to the fact that there are places to park other than the sh1tty official one as there are at most grounds! Hopefully the link road (when complete) will sort some of the issues with congestion. The Unicorn pub in Peel Green (just off the M60 Barton turn off) also has a decent free car park if you're there an hour or so before kick off. Have a quick pint in the pub and then walk to the ground in 15 mins or so.

Hope we get a decent turnout for what should be a cracker with 2 teams in great form. When was the last time Wakey fans (and vkce versa) saw Salford away as one of their toughest games?!
Hope to see both sets of fans turn out in numbers as well as both teams deserve the added support. What makes it even more interesting is that in previous years both teams would probably highlight a couple of opposition players. Keep them in check and you win the game. Not so this year as we both have multiple match winners in our 17 and there could be some belting tries scored on Sunday.

Cue an 8-6 borefest......

We seem to have gone up a gear over the last few games which is good to see as we haven't played brilliantly but still won from the Toronto cup game. I see this as a very stern test for both teams that are playing great RL at the moment. I'm slightly more confident this time around due to us being at home, as we've been very strong at home this year so far. Half-backs could be the key for us as Dobson was rested against Warrington and Carney came in and ran the show with Lui in his place. Another area that Wakey will have to figure out is how to stop Murdoch-Massila as he's been pretty unplayable most of the season. You guys have pace to burn in open play which will be a major threat, and it should be a good tussle in the forwards.

It's great to see Wakey, Salford, and Cas up at the top and I don't know about you guys but it's a breath of fresh air to be looking forward to games rather than dreading them!

Tough one to call and I think it will be close.

Would like to see us rest as many as possible for this one, Looks like Walker, Arona and Miller will be out for several weeks, I would like to see Batch, Anakin, Crowther, Anthony Walker and Jowitt all play. Would rest Fafita who was iced up at Wigan, Kirmond , Huby and Ashurst. The cup game against Salford is now more important for us.

Re: Next up Salford : Wed May 31, 2017 2:32 pm
it's a shame we are regularly losing key players. We really needed our 1st choice 17 against Salford.
Murdoch-Masilla does appear to be in good form at present and is probably still smarting from losing the ball and effectively the game when Reece Lyne's hit saved the day for Wakey at Belle Vue
