Plus was the proposed stadium site on the old thornes house site. It would be perfect linked with the already established athletes track would make it a proper sports village in the park. Stadium for all Park for all. Sadly I think that ships sailed but reckon Newmarket is a strong possibility #NM2019

Drove down the new Eastern bypass around the old power station again today and was looking at suitable locations. This would be the ideal site for me. We could call it "The New Belle Vue".

Thoyght the same when I was on the new road last week. Also not far from Belle Vue.

I think we've all traversed the new link Rd and cast an envious eye on the swathes of suitable land on either side.

It would be a superb location for three main reasons
1, The access from three directions
2, Those who love to walk could still do so
3, Approx 4,000 new dwellings planned around it

I mentioned a few months ago regarding this and the area surrounding it, questioning as to the feasibility of developing that

yeah, well it just struck me that there was all that uproar about the proposed stadium there a few years ago but the athletic stadium went up without a murmur !
Anyway, for what it's worth I think that is now a non starter!

I'm a middle of the road Conservative but frankly I'd kiss Jeremy Corbyn on all four cheeks if it got us a stadium and I really don't like the mans policies - I do draw the line at Diane Abbott though

The Tory lot do seem to be doing the most re: the Stadium situation though.
MC stated he was open to any party to come down and talk, it seems only the Tory lot have done.
