Indeed, although, there want anything in the original scheme that would have been that high.
It must be like living under a permanent eclipse.

The "extension" that is under way at the moment looks to just about double the size of the white box.

Can Sandal or, anyone else from the trust tell us where we are now, in terms of the trigger point or, is Newmarket a dead duck ?

Yes indeed, and remember the stadium/ Newcold 1 had to go to Eric to get approval! And that was nowhere near as bad as this. It's a bent world.
I will bow to those with superior knowledge but the duck looks expired to me. Unless it's just resting

I haven't had a look in all honesty but would the original plan have been so bad? Amazing, as I say, how anything goes now

Newcold including the extension that is under construction were excluded from the 60,000m2 trigger so the clock is at zero.

Whether any further development contributes to the trigger is very much down to how the Council decides to deal with the application.

Why the hell would any Wakefield fan check out Big stupid Alf's posts ? We are simply not bothered if he's got information of any sort.

It's quite scary how he and his followers consume themselves in Wakefield's plight for a community stadium.

He wants to go n get himsen a life.

Can someone actually give us a link to this famous post where nostradALmus told us all in no uncertain terms that newcold wouldn't count towards the trigger?
I don't mean the many after-the-fact/hindsight/told-you-so posts.
I mean the one where he clearly warned us about the problem before the deadline for objections and that we just refused to listen.

Whatever happened to the nothing being allowed to "disaggregate" (if this is the right word) the scheme.
Also, I thought that there was some kind of retrospective agreement for part of Newcold to be included ?

Disaggregate is the right word and that is why we believe that the Newcold application was not dealt with correctly and should have contributed to the trigger.

I also believed that the old S106 was going to be replaced with a new agreement but it just proves that you don't always believe what you are told, no matter how important you believe the person is who told you.

Re: Newcold part 2 : Wed Aug 16, 2017 3:54 pm
I was under the impression that phase 2 of Newcold which is underway now was to allow the acquisition of new contracts, most of which have been in the pipeline a while, rather than a new build being required for them. Things could have changed but i'd be surprised if the built an entirely new store in the same area.

Genuine question. Do we actually want a stadium in the shadow of these monstrosities?
