in fact why not call at the local shop and get a few tinnies and find a hedge to crawl under, even bigger saving as you'll get more for your money
A bit harsh that captain, a working man's club is there for the members and any profits generated from the sale of alcohol should go back to the members through beer subsidies as it's supposed to be non profit making, so if he's a member he's entitled to reap the benefit, not that there will be much after competing with Morrisons who are competing with Asda etc.

hows that harsh I'm offering an alternative for him to save even more money for the volume, like you say its a none profit organisation for the members, if your not a member it costs you a £1 to get in so you'd have to drink some to gain that back, then how much is the membership in the first place, I've been in conny club and its no fun trying to get to the bar in the first place for then to see their member getting served first, at least at the ground their is a fair system for all in place

I would say asking a bloke to crawl under an hedge is a bit harsh tbh but maybe not in your world, like you, if you assume he's not a member if it costs him a quid to get in and he has two pints with the quid he's saved he can buy a half time draw ticket in the ground with a chance of winning some more beer tokens, hows that for forward thinking squire
Oh and just as a matter of interest had you not experienced difficulties in getting served in the club, would we be right in thinking you'd still be sampling their finest wares, just asking like

reason for crawling under a hedge as its illegal to drink in the public streets but then he could use the paper bag act as for sampling the finest wares they had nothing special to entice me back to wait 15 mins to get served in a crowded bar, would rather get to the cats bar to take the pee out of bazzo

It isn't illegal to drink on the streets in England...
I agree with the point your making about spending money in the ground, however I find it takes forever to get served in the North Stand. I don't go in often but I do think it is much quicker getting served in the conny club within an hour of kick off.

Going back a few weeks but I missed about 10 minutes of the second half due to waiting to be served but I guess there's not much more they can do, are there 3 or 4 bars now around the ground?

It is in many towns/cities where they have 'Alcohol Free Zones'

OK I'll put it another way, police can determine where to take alcohol away from you if its deemed that you are a public nuisance, ie sitting under a hedge drinking 4 cans of the cheapest strongest beer while waiting for the belle vue gates to open
