We have played well enough to beat the a couple of times in the last few years. However these hoodoos to use Toppo’s favourite saying take some shifting. It took nearly 20 years to beat Leeds at home despite beating them fairly often at Headingly. It’s all in the head I’m afraid.
It's certainly interesting the psychological side of sport. Maybe it is all in the head when it comes to certain teams/grounds, and hoodoos do seem to exist, but where do you stand on our seemingly inability to win close games regardless of the opposition? By my reckoning, the last 12 games that have been decided by 6 points or less, we have won 3 and lost 9?! Not a good percentage by anyones' standards, it seems to be holding us back from taking things to the next level, we are becoming quite frustrating at times, and i'm not sure how we break the habit of losing the close ones.......
