For me the issue is that the other clubs struggling at the bottom have shown throughout the season that even after a poor performance they’re capable of winning the next game. It maybe rocks & diamonds for them but it’s rocks & rocks for us.
So while Huddersfield lost heavily last night, they have it within them to win the next match, I’m not seeing that from Wakefield.

Absolutely right. At present, there is nothing to suggest we can win another game - Chester seems happy enough with convincing himself we will be alright when all the signs are saying exactly the opposite.
He needs to bite the bullet and if miller is fit for next week, drop Brough for starters.
I suppose the panic is that despite what some think is an “improvement”, it’s another week with 0 points and another step towards the trap door.
Wilzay you’re not saying anything we didn’t know !!!! You’re doom n gloom is boardering on the ridiculous . It doesn’t take much to knock a team off it’s form ... yes we’ve been shocking , but we would have been a lot better with the lines of Arona , Ashurst, Johnstone etc playing every week . The players left have had to play massive minutes .... I’m not excusing excusing everything but let’s see how Wire go without Austin if they have to play without him ! Once a team start losing and losing confidence it’s difficult to get out of it . Try supporting them too ( rather than downing ) all the time . Last night the effort was there .... esp in defence . Let’s hope this gets us something next week against Hull . Last time we had a good performance away at Wire we won Huddersfield at home !!! Let’s hope eh !?

Spot on.
I'm looking at the remaining fixtures of Hull KR, London, Huddersfield, and Leeds, and I'm seeing at least 2 wins for each. I'm looking at our fixtures and I'm at a loss. 1 if we improve a lot, 2 if we improve massively, but none if we carry on as we are.

The thing is, because it was Warrington & Saints, it's automatically we've no chance, but yet in both those games, if we had actually performed to any decent level, we could have won at least one of them, because they both performed well below standard! Warrington are actually in a pretty bad run themselves......last night Saints were ordinary at best, at some point in that first half, we should have been saying, we can win this! They ain't all that up for this, but no, we had no-one who took the game by the scruff of the neck, we had no leaders, they had no self belief even as the game went on! Apart from that Hudds win, even without the players you are mentioning, we have had opportunities to turn things around, but we are so predictable in what we are serving up, we are so easy to defend against, the performances simply haven't been of a good enough standard, for the standard of 'player' that has taken the field.
We are in August. We haven’t beaten a superleague team that isn’t called Huddersfield since April! It’s easy to see why some fans might be on a bit of a downer!

Yep ... get all that . But if we play against HullKR /London like last night we will win . Our defence was much improved and yes Saints snuffed our our attack just like they do with most teams . I’m not pretending all is fine , far from it and yes certain players are underperforming , but changing coach etc now will do no good . Imo . Plus the constant berating of Chester will do nothing ... hope we can behind them all next week and help get that win we need . Hopefully Miller will be back ... not bothered who he replaces Brough or Hampshire .

Sorry, but I can't see how you can think last night's performance would be good enough to beat any Super league team!! We created virtually nothing, Saints in the second half were as bad as I've ever seen a Saints team, their poor performance over the 80 minutes kept the score down massively.

Just thought saints played their usual game of being fast off the mark , shut us down before we had a chance , which they do on a regular basis . Thought we defended well in general and hopefully will have more time to create ... and hopefully Miller will be back . Not many teams create much or win at Saints . Like I say not pretending there are no problems .
