Hirst always put a decent shift in for us and whilst he isn't the best quality prop we've ever had in terms of ability, what he did was squeeze every last drop of talent out of what he had, which is more than some more talented players have done for us over the years. As for Tangata he'll bring enthusiasm thats for sure which is something we have been down on. Seen him quite a few times and never been overly convinced he was a superleague player in waiting but this is his chance to prove he is.
Hirst represents what London do and what we used to do before we started to believe our own hype. He did the basics, he did his best, alone that’s not enough but times by seventeen it is!
That’s all London do, hardly a star amongst them yet they keep on winning. Player for players we are considerably better than them there is no doubt there but as a team we are now miles behind and it shows. Sort that out and we will be safe.
This week is the most critical of the season so far, as close to a must win as you can get without it actually being one.
