Mind you, when you've had a few pints, the last thing you want, when you reach a certain age, is to be stuck in traffic.

Tell me about it

Definitely not.
Always great to get out of the house and I think that Leeds do a great job of staging it.
Also, very good for both clubs and always an excellent attendance.

Cant think of any downside (unless Leeds United are playing at home and then traffic is a mare coming home.

You can easily avoid going anywhere near Elland Road, if you want.....go down Woodhouse Lane, past the University, to the multi-storey car park, then drop down on to the inner ring road until you get to the big DSS building, then drop down onto Marsh Lane which takes you straight onto the M621 at junction 4. You can also go in this way (obviously) and it avoids all the queues near Elland Rd, the Armley Gyratory and Kirkstall Road. Been going this way for years and found it much quicker. :thumb:

Well, thanks for that Mr. SatNav.
That's a great weight off my mind.

It’s my birthday as well so what’s not to like about it :DRUNK: like Wrencat says, getting away spoils it a bit.

It's Mrs FT's birthday too, we'll be there if a certain member of the family is in the team :thumb:

Good to see 99% of folk on here still have their marbles.

I cannot think of a stand alone game that makes us more money than this one. I can however think of at least one that would make Leeds more money! I think we should all remain very grateful for this fixture personally.

How much do we make?

I never said I was bored of the club earning from it.

Jeez, you started this thread asking the question of who is getting bored of the fixture and it turns out to be just you.
As for how much each club makes out of it, all you need to know is that, it's a damn sight more than out of any other pre season game, which is why most people will never get bored of it.
Some times it's important to know which side your bread is buttered on.

However, I mentioned in my first reply that, this is also the best of our pre season games.

There have been occasions where the game seems to come too soon, in relation to the start of the new season but, this time, in particular, this definitely isn't the case, as our first game of the new season is 31st Jan at KR.

I wonder who the other 15% are.
