PT you must admit that our wide defence as been poor for several seasons. Why as it not been possible to rectify such an obvious problem, surely that must be the fault of the coaching staff. We were clueless how to score for the majority of last season and this appears to not have changed which again must fall upon the coaches. I would make one other point, I believe our recent recruit from Wigan was one of the better players is this because we have not had chance to coach him since his arrival.
He's got to go it's over 12 month of abject performance, with no idea who the best key combinations are. If the coaching staff can't see what's going on on the pitch week in week out then they simply have to be removed. We are simply woeful in attack, it's basically tackling practice and any team in the league gets walk ins out wide. Miller is crap and wants stripping of the captaincy and dropping. Why max jowitt can't get in this team is as baffling as Chesters selections, Atkins on the wing, wow.
Ludicrous calling for him to go imo. We were flying last year when we last had a fit team. Club on our budget needs its big players on the pitch and we haven't been able to do that consistently. I dont know what some people on here expect Chester to do.
It's not after one game. The points might reset each year, but the losing mentality doesn't
You don’t sack a coach one game into the season, simple as that. Yes the fact that the same problems going back the best part of 18 months seem to remain is a major concern but he has to be given a chance to turn it around. If in another 6 or 7 games time the same problems persist then it may well be time to act, but until then he has the chance to prove people wrong. Over to Chester.
Wakefield head coach Chris Chester: "(I was) very disappointed in the effort of some individuals tonight. I thought we just got outmuscled. "I was disappointed with the errors, 16 errors, you can't win any games playing like that. "Guys were just probably trying too hard, guys just making stuff up. "It looked like we were a group of players just thrown together. We need to be a lot better so I expect a big reaction next week."
