Well said. Some of the comments are embarrassing. Seriously, Corbyn and Abbott in this crisis! I have an international transport business and the £10k SBRR is an unbelievable offer. I think they are adjusting well on a daily basis and who knows, sport may eventually come into the equation.
I bet Corbin is chuffed to bits labour lost the election, god knows what crack pot solutions he’d have for the present situation
TBF Jez was ahead of the curve on this one, he has an allotment and many many jars of jam.
Seriously I doubt it would be much different. I don’t think the politicians are in charge anymore, I think the grown ups have taken charge (see Civil Servants etc).
Brexit's done and dusted you lost the election, stop feeling so bitter and move on,
I know that I probably shouldn't reply to this on a "Michael Carter Speaks" thread but, you are wrong. Yes we are officially out of the EU but, THE most important part was always the deal that was agreed - supposed to be complete by the end of the year but, with the Coronavirus now engulfing the world, everyone has more important things to worry about.
As for MC, as usual, he speaks so well and his output is always well informed and balanced. The club is very lucky that he took the reins and is still so heavily involved with the club
Not been on here for the past few days but what a refreshing change to see that the Great British fighting spirit is finally coming to the surface and folk on here are becoming more tolerant of each other. This is a totally un-precedented peace-time crisis and regardless of people's political persuasions, we have to come together (not literally obviously !!) to get us ALL through this crisis and get back to normality as soon as possible, so let's all try to remain positive and up-beat whilst the world is on it's knees.....So to put a rugby perspective on it, no lying on in the tackle and trying to gain an unfair advantage (panic buying, hoarding etc), let's all play fairly and support our fellow team-mates, so that when this is all over we can be proud of what we did.....lets play nicely people

No I'm not wrong mate, labour lost the election and we are out of the EU, personally I don't give a toss on either matter, my reply was to bren2k on his opportunism at taking every opportunity to bring politics into it, perhaps your criticism might be better aimed at him for going off the subject of Michael carter, incidentally i see that you were unable to resist a comment on the subject of brexit on a Michael carter thread
And following on from Wayne's point..... Keep this thread about MC's interviews. I'm really too busy to be having to mod this. You are quite capable of self nodding yourselves.
I couldn't agree more - the whole thing was a con; packaging it up as a £350 billion package was outright dishonest, when only £30bn of it was direct help for employers; and it should never have been announced without also creating help for employees - either directly, or through their employers. More to come at 17:00 today, so we'll see what that looks like.
Get a grip Bren, the government are doing what they can in an unprecedented situation. Give Boris a ring and explain exactly what you would do instead
