I think that you may not be taking into account that they will have zero income for the first half of the season AND have to fund their whole squad living in the UK. Plus, this problem isn't of their making, this is about finding a solution so that we can have a meaningful competition.
Can you imagine if Trinity had to play all of their own games away from home, with players kept away from their families for 4 months.
Surely, it's about trying to ensure that we can actually have a SL season.
If you have a better idea, go for it. What we have here is a possible solution to keep the game rolling and travelling to and from France, either for them or, their opposition, looks like it may not be possible - certainly not in the immediate future.
