I was fairly shocked that we'd gone through 14 number 1s in 23 years, but it's clear that many more players have actually played there during that time.
A symptom of a successful side is stability and I think under the current management we're heading in the right direction.
I noticed that through the 60s we had a much slower turnover of heritage numbers than other decades, also true of the post-war period.
The relatively low turn-over of players in the last 6 years is an indicator that we're going in the right direction. You can't build a team if its players change every year. I know it's pre-season, but I'm remarkably optimistic for the future, especially if the new east stand gets started this year. 5th this year is not impossible (injuries permitting) and finishing above Cas would be my goal.
