[quote="vastman"]Bit rosed tinted, there were plenty of times when he couldn't tally them, except against Cas and by god do I miss that.
As a coach he had too great strength. He generally knew what players he liked and was able to mostly give them a game plan they could follow.
What he wasn't and never will be is the sort of coach who can revolutionise a club.
So I really don't want him back as a coach, that moment has been and gone. But as part of a coaching team that's fine. It certainly makes more sense than offering Tony Smith a similar role.[
No rose tinted glasses from me at all , if you read the Keith senior autobiography he clearly mentions Kears limitations and his five drive and a kick philosophy. But where he did score highly was his people and motivational skills . You yourself were condemning all and sundry, like it’s never happened before, and will again no doubt . What I was pointing out was If required by the club to give them a rousing pick me up to get us back on track and firing on all cylinders , he’s available and he’s your man . But personally I like everything about poaching and I’m positive when the players eventually buy into him we will come good , not brilliant but good and start chipping away at the table and not get cast adrift like the doom merchants are all ready spouting about . Yes do do need fresh blood and players moving on , but this squad is good enough to see the season out and keep us in super league
