Just to be clear…I wasn’t comparing Murphy to Johnstone now…
As someone else has said TJ has been the best player we’ve produced in the last decade at least…no disputing that…has been brilliant for us and I really hope he kicks on in France…
Was just a comparison at this stage of his career…his 6th super league game…he’s already shown enough in his all round game to suggest to me he can reach the heights of TJ…my memory may be wrong but I have it in mind that TJ took quite a while to iron out quite a few things…
Murphy after a horrendous start against Leeds has very quickly put that behind him and the last two games in particular has looked like he’s been a super league player for 2-3 seasons…nothing seems to phase him…looks confident…very strong for what I still feel is quite a slight frame…if he carries on progressing at the speed he is and bulks up a bit losing Johnstone will be a bit easier to take.
Really excited for the future and that left edge of Murphy and Hall…after being treated to the exceptional pair of Johnstone and Tupou but then the frustration of the last couple of seasons of injuries to them both they are two shining lights from this season so far…
