Quick to dismiss when wakey player salary mooted. Quick to believe when Cas player salary mooted.
OK I should have stated IMHO. However, Steady, we know Miller went to you for more money, it's common knowledge, the figure is unknown, but the club is on record as saying they couldn't match the offer. I'd have to assume Miller was one of our top earners, wouldn't you? Nobody moves just for the challenge, you know that.
As for Widdop, no idea as to his price tag but it can't be cheap. If he took a 50% pay cut from Warrington he'd still be on a bomb, I don't think any insider knowledge is needed.
I'll ask you the question, do you think Cas have made some big signings? I do. They look pricy to me but if you say they are not then I'll take your word, but we couldn't afford any of them and we already had one

I was only poking a little! It seems to have gotten a bit too serious on here of late! Personally I wouldn’t use “big signings”. Three years ago then maybe I’d agree. Miller - £30k more over three years is what I hear. Widdop - no idea but like you say it won’t be cheap. FWIW I don’t think he’ll be on anything close to what he was on at wire - he’s not the draw he once was (personally think he’s been overated his whole career but if he plays more than 5 games in a row with Miller then we’ll have had more out of the partnership than any last year)! I’m still not happy with a few “big name” players on out books & would gladly shed Fonua, Watts & Faraimo.

Widdop was a starting half for 5 years at St George, He was excellent the whole time, i especially enjoyed widdop and benji Marshall as a pairing also
Sadly that form never bar on a few occasions transferred to when he was playing for England
He had a really bad shoulder injury where he fell awkward tracking back from a kick It was an injury he’d already had too
I don’t think he ever truley recovered from it
Unless you watched him in the nrl you’d have never seen the best from him
As it goes I think he’s the type of half we need Some one to run the plays and tell everyone what to with a good kicking game
We know gully, you haven't stopped banging on about it.
I'll tell you what, i've seen the photo of them both after swapping,Gully looks good in Tini's shirt, and Tini looks even better in the British Coal jersey

Cheers Kev. If it wasn't for the birds & the booze I could have been a contender..... (In my younger days of course...)

I agree with u re him not being cheap
I hope he goes well & hope he’ll bring an air of professionalism that’s not currently at the club, but I genuinely think his ability has been overrated. I’ve watched NRL, not religiously, for years & I thought he was good for a couple of years, but that’s about it - good - sometimes you just don’t see what others do in a player though so happy to accept your comments.
I'd be interested to see how Brandon Wakeham goes in the World Cup, he's at home, playing 6,7 or 9.
We do have 3 quota spots available at this stage.
Pele looks a good shout, but we'd probably struggle with visa, due to lack of games
Agree be interesting to see how Wakeman goes I was listening to a match in the run up to the gf and the commentary team said that although Koroisau is a hooker (and a v good one) he may play in the halves in the wc
Fiji will be a very exciting team once they have a full starting team out there
