I don't follow. You said he needs to clear out the hangers on, in reply to someone suggesting Minards should stay.

Now you are saying he's come up short and isn't good enough.

So just to clarify, I still disagree and still think you don't understand what he does.

I don’t think that some on here understand very much how JM has done recently for getting this redevelopment done, the number of Businesses and organisations he has built up a reputation and although it wasn’t really mentioned in Richard Whitehead post, there is still other projects going ahead. The next one I believe is the Rollin Shack, if this does happen, then a lot of people/organisations involved will need the skills and knowledge that JM has within the sports, financial and commercial world. Ellis would not regret having JM onside.

Delayed stand ( not a stadium ) with no hospitality boxes
A shocking North stand development
Debt at approx 4 million
Cash flow and finance leading to the share issue and mcs dad pumping 300 grand in
Terrible recruitment for about 4 years and a team losing 16 in a row until ME donation, leaving us on the brink of relegation.
I've no doubt he's tried his best but imo he's come up short.
All the current regime should go and some new blood with fresh ideas brought in.

Re: Member Shareholders Meeting Tonight : Tue Aug 15, 2023 4:08 pm
It was reported on Red White and Blue by a Richard Whitehead that JM advised ` the western terrace is on the list to be improved but again its all down to cost ` and that the ` lights were turned off the moment the ladies game finished ( saving pennies on the leccy bill is still a priority ) `
These two statements above all else reported from the meeting once more highlight the need to get the deal done asap. Its inconceivable to understand how JM expects to pay the bills without Matt Ellis taking over. It has been stated that the debt is 4 million plus, was this confirmed last night ? if true then that is going to cost well in excess of £ 200,000 a year at least to repay, then we presumably have trading losses which I think were alluded to last night, plus Sky money looks like been reduced. Maybe JM has one of those money trees

You seem to be forgetting the assets far outweigh the debts. £4 million debt £15 million assets. Same as myself and millions of other, I took out a bank loan 3 years ago to part fund a property extension, so I’ve got debt of a few grand, but owning my own property I’ve got assets of over £250 K, that’s how the money world works, I’m sure you know that, so why all the negativity?.

JM didn't say the lights were turned off for cost saving.

£4 million debt on £15 million asset is pretty good.

The money tree is on the East side of the field.

Of course we could do with more money. It doesn't mean you just give it all up to someone shaking some notes. We've had that before.

I’d be happy for John Minnards to stop on or at least for the cross over period,he’s doing a good job in my opinion. It’s up to Matt Ellis and his people who he brings.

For those at the meeting who heard the conversation about Social Media, there was a comment about some comms ending all the wild negative comments.
.....I guess this proves the opposite.

Our new incumbent is obviously an excellent business man running a hugely successful kitchen company , but imo would be foolish to not have Minards onboard in some capacity ,as he know the clubs dealings inside and out ,and running a successful RL club ,as we all hope it will be in the not too distant future is a far cry from a kitchen company I think we’ll all agree . Johns contacts in and around the game with prove invaluable I’m sure in the coming years .
