We've brought top players over before but I agree, getting someone involved this much is a good sign.
Again though, managing expectation, Powell said hes working on the Championship team and also the proposed SL team for the year after. He isn't recruiting a NRL player fir this year I'm sure. They'll be from lower leagues for now.

And just a reminder, Proctor was a 'current NRL player'

I agree, every team in SL have brought over dud NRL players. The 2 players I mentioned in Vaughan and Sims have played Rep footy in the last 2/3 years and could still be playing now in the NRL, pretty sure Proctor and Taufua wouldn’t.

Neither were playing NRL 1st grade at the time. Proctor hadn’t played in months and got sacked and Taufua had hardly played any first grade games for 2 seasons prior to us signing him.

All very positive stuff, if all the plans come to fruition then maybe we will finally get back to mixing it with the big boys in time. It might not all happen overnight but the future seems very bright.

All this positivity coming out of the club I may need to change my avatar. What a great interview, the direction these two are taking the club is exciting.
