Some of you will be wondering why we didn't come clean earlier about our involvement in this.
This was all meant to be kept as a private matter - with any announcements only coming via agreed worded statements. One man has decided to open Pandora's Box (!) and open this up to public debate. His reasoning is to try and force the clubs to agree on a process that they cannot. He is now playing hard-ball with the packets of land offered to both clubs - and this from someone who purports to support Rugby League in the district.
We will stay strong - as we - the club / trust / developer - still believe that this can be done.
Are the council members of your the Community trust, if they are it would seem they are not as confident as you.
I would assume you will need the council onside with the project to get it through planning. Which makes your statements against Box a very risky strategy, and it would seem that the only card left you have to play is the blame the council card.
The problem really lies with your club and its let some body else sort us a stadium out. Castleford have took control over their own destiny from day one, no of this let the council sort it, or let yorkcourt sort or Sir Rod. As for your bitterness over Thornes park, my old man works there for the college and when the speculation of a stadium started he and other members of staff went and asked the principle and were told categorically from day one that the college would not be vacating the site before 2012. You may not have been in the loop, but your club were happy to go along with Thorne park because if the facts had of come out sooner, you would not be in Super league now. You should be grateful that the council continued to make it look a goer until after the licenses were handed out.
You have also shown yourself to not be interested in community facilities for the whole district, not just Wakefield and the Wildcats, through your shunning of Glasshoughton, lets face it the only concern you have is for WTWC superleague future.
And to finish here is a straight forward question for you. How much in a percentage or the total funding package have York Court actually promised in a legally bending contract?
I ask you this as their is seems to be much confusion on here as to the funding, most seem to think York court are providing most of it if not all, and I have notice you seem in no rush to dispel any myths, so if this is the last thing you ever communicate to me.
How much are York court putting in and how much is reliant on other funding.
