here is a beaut I heard, it may turn out that the residents that live on the Newmarket lane may have changed their boundaries to their properties, not seen the houses but one is said to have horses and stables,

if this is found to be true no doubt why they are complaining, may open up a right can of worms,

if I was York court I would be looking into this now

drive down the lane, couple of photos and a call to the planning dept???

In the words of Kevin Keegan "I would love it" if this was found to be the case.

By this i take it you mean they have adjusted the boundaries and are using land belonging to york court without permission?

Where were the 15k when they had chance to make comment to the planning department. It just goes to show anybody can sign a bit of paper put in front of them buy a friend or relative, but when it comes to people really caring or making an effort themselves people cant be bothered. This also stands for the 1000s of people who could get jobs, strange they did not want to support the project.

Just been reading the last few comments added to the planning site and you have to laugh!

There is a guy who lives on Aberford Road who has written to object and says that "there is a glut of old pit sites around the area so why couldn't the development be built on one of those rather than on green belt"   - he suggests maybe the old Prince of Wales Colliery site in Pontefract

Then there is the petition from someone that I actually know who is 'a good few slices short of a loaf' claiming that there will be thousands of deaths due to the fumes and traffic accidents - at least I think that is what it says as it is almost impossible to read and make any sense of. Also says that it should it should be situated near a motorway where lorries can get to the site easily

I don't think Yorkcourt shouldn't have too much difficulty in addressing those problems!!

Errr, other than the obvious location issue, they are planning to build on the old Price of Wales site! Have been for quite a while and they got outline planning a few months ago IIRC.

The other comments re choosing a site closer to the motorway proves that some people have not even bothered to look at the 'Red Alert' closely, never mind the actual application online!

Re: New Stadium - Objection Flyer and Web Site : Tue Apr 13, 2010 9:23 am
reply from mr calvert to the issue:-

Thank you for taking the time to write to me.

I am totally in favour of the Wildcat's relocating to that site. What I am not happy about, and this is on the record too, is with Yorkcourt's decision to also site a huge netwoork of distribution plants on the site.

There are people living on Newmarket Lane who are rightly very worried about the impact of large HGVs accessing the site from the small road near their homes.

Unfortunately I have had no contact with Yorkcourt to discuss this with them. I do know, however, that my collegues are united in being disappointed at this lack of consultation with elected and prospective parliamentary candidates.

I hope that answers your question satisfactorily. If you would like to meet and discuss this in person please do get in touch with my office on 01924 290404.

Regards,
Antony

This reply is poor and it has left himself wide open.

1. He has obviouly only listened to the garbage spouted by the Newmarket Lane mob. He has not bothered to check out the plans himself otherwise he would have seen a new road is being built to by pass those houses, thus leaving them in a quiet cul de sac.

2. Yorkcourt have done what they have to do and more regarding consultation. Is he expecting yorkcourt to come to him or is he too idle to get off his backside and ask them about his concerns and find out the true facts.

Will you let me have his address I would like to write to him myself
